Hello everyone,
I am looking for the following solution:
An LED strip for the TV should be connected to the TV’s USB port and the strip should light up when the TV is turned on. So, no extra remote control or anything like that.
What should I pay attention to?

I assume that common LED strips with a remote control need to be switched on separately using the remote, right?
Thank you.

Most TVs turn off their ports when they are powered off.
And simple 3-5m (10-16 feet) LED strips that connect via USB do not require more power than the port can provide.

Just buy an inexpensive one online and stick it on, we also have one (I think it was 10€) and it has been working flawlessly for 3 years.

We solved it with a smart plug for 10 EUR: “Alexa, turn on the TV” switches on both devices. “Turn off TV” cuts the power again. Works perfectly.
