Thanks; I figured as much. With aluminum, this should generally not occur because their value is lower.

There isn’t much you can do about it except to use the roller shutters. However, you should be glad that—even though the fitting is annoying—it also serves as a visible quality feature of very good, thermally insulated windows.

Whether it’s Rehau or another frame manufacturer doesn’t really matter; in my opinion, they all come from a maximum of three suppliers anyway.

I have the same issue with my wood/aluminum windows. A colleague with wood/aluminum windows from another manufacturer experiences it as well.

It doesn’t bother me; I could always lower the roller shutter. I’m rather happy that the windows seem to insulate properly.

It’s not really a problem. We only close the roller shutters when we go to bed. The view of the greenery (garden and forest behind) shouldn’t be blocked by shutters as early as six o’clock.

There aren’t that many days like this during the year – but when there are, we do it properly.
