hemali20038 Apr 2018 21:33Hello everyone,
our gravel driveway is just slightly below street level. With the addition of crushed stone and paving, it will of course sit a few centimeters above the street. How have you handled the transition when the driveway is higher than the street level? Is it possible to use cold asphalt for this? Or which material is suitable?
From the beginning, we accepted the driveway being higher because the street is scheduled to be repaved in the next few years. We wanted to avoid being below street level and potentially having a pool of water on the driveway during rain (to put it exaggeratively), as water would flow from the street onto our driveway.
The solution for the transition from the driveway to the current street does not need to be permanent—ideally, it should last a few years.
THANK YOU!
