have you asked for the energy performance certificates of both houses?
How are they heated (oil? gas? renewable energy? solar?), how is the hot water supplied (solar? expensive electric instantaneous water heater?), and how much do you have to pay for that annually?
What about the garden size (area, square meters) and its orientation (sun exposure, etc.)?
What about the neighboring properties? Take a good look at them, because you will have to live alongside them!
How old are the houses?
What is the layout of the rooms?
Where is more renovation needed?
And so on.
Personally, I would prefer a detached house, but I also like being alone when I need some quiet 🙂
Best regards

Money is likely a factor as well. When the features, size, and location are similar, a detached house is more expensive—first because of the construction costs and second because of the larger plot of land.
Those who love a bigger garden will choose the detached house, while for someone who dislikes gardening, a terraced house (row house) is probably a better option.
