ᐅ Topping-Out Ceremony Planning – How Many Construction Workers Will Be Needed?

Hello, I am trying to plan our topping-out ceremony and a few questions have come up, maybe you can help me.
How many construction workers are usually present? Do they all come or only those who are on site at the time? Does the construction company take care of inviting the architect and others?

Is the topping-out wreath provided by the construction company, or do we need to arrange it ourselves? Our topping-out ceremony will probably be in April or May; will we need a space heater?
Are gifts typically given to the tradespeople? Does the client usually give a speech?
And what kind of food and drinks should be offered? I was thinking of two soups with bread, chips, etc., beer (bottles or draft?), spirits, sparkling wine or punch, water, soft drinks, etc. Should we provide coffee? What else should we consider? We plan to invite about 40 people plus the tradespeople, I hope there will be enough space.

Yes, everything is very individual.

In the afternoon, we had a topping-out ceremony with the entire roofing crew (5 people), including sausages, potato salad, and beer, along with a traditional saying and nail. The wreath was provided by us.

In the evening, guests and neighbors arrived. The tradespeople had already gone home. However, we worked with a large general contractor who regularly holds topping-out ceremonies. Therefore, no one else from the company was on site at that time.

Hello,

This is how we usually do it:
Friends, acquaintances, helpers, neighbors, and craftsmen are invited in coordination with the carpenter.
The neighbors meet a few days before the topping-out ceremony to prepare and decorate the wreath.
The construction team organizes the event. Beverages and soup, for example, provide tables and chairs.
During colder seasons, seal the window openings with plastic sheeting or wood, hang a blanket in front of the “living room door,” and ensure lighting and heating.
For heating, please avoid gas heaters, as they significantly reduce oxygen levels; instead, use an electric fan heater with about 15 kW output.
