MelanieSH22 Oct 2018 19:59Hello,
we are about to start building our single-family home soon. For the heating system, we have decided on a ground source heat pump with deep drilling. I have already requested several quotes for the drilling. The prices vary greatly.
Has anyone here had deep drilling done and can recommend a company in SH?
I would be grateful for any tips. My main concern is not the lowest price, but whether you were satisfied with the service.
Thank you,
Melanie

There may be a price range, but €6,000–12,000 (approximately $6,500–13,000) suggests quite different scopes of work.
Do the drilling companies have all the necessary data to determine the required drilling depth? Without this information, they cannot offer the same scope. The probe material is the same, the probe type is the same, backfilling material, casing, and so on.
There are also differences in additional services (application/planning permission paperwork, possibly borehole insurance, disposal of drilling water, etc.).
