Hello, I have a question about timber frame exterior walls.
The plan is to insulate between the studs with mineral wool. The interior sheathing will be stiffening OSB. On the outside, direct cladding on the wooden studs was planned using Bluclad. Now, an external ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite System) is possibly being considered.
However, I can’t find any ETICS systems designed for timber frame walls with mineral wool insulation. I only find systems using insulation materials made from wood fibers, hemp, or similar.
I would like to stick with mineral wool.
I would appreciate any advice.

Thank you very much

Many thanks I believe this was meant for a different topic. This discussion is about a timber frame wall for the exterior. In this area, mineral wool insulation is not used for external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS / EIFS). Different materials have to be used here.
