Hello everyone,

The bathroom tiles have been installed here for a few days now. I took a closer look at everything today. The tile trims around the corners and the joints between two trims caught my attention.

Close-up of a bathroom mirror with metal frame on tiled wall

Close-up of kitchen base cabinet edge with gray countertop and silver metal trim

Close-up of a window frame with glass, seal, and dust on the edge inside

The corners don’t look quite right to me. Surely there are corner pieces that could have been used here. Also, the joint between the two trims is on a long wall section, about three meters (10 feet). Are the trim lengths limited?

Is this common practice, or was the work not done properly?

Regards,
Alex

I checked again. We also have such cubes in the corners. But as I said, I don’t think it’s that bad in your case.

In my opinion, this is normal. The rails used in your case are relatively inexpensive. If nothing else was agreed upon, this is perfectly fine.
We also have such corner cubes like in the picture by @RFR. However, ours sit directly against the rails without any gap. This creates a very nice effect. Usually, the rails and cubes like these are also about one corner more expensive.

Ours are now properly installed. The photo above was taken for complaint purposes. After that, everything was done correctly.

And yes, we paid a “nice” extra charge because we have them everywhere.
