kaho674We have a pesky young deer visiting regularly. It eats the new trees and bushes or rubs and browses everything bare. In short: we need a wildlife fence.
Now I’m looking for something that still lets the cat get through at the bottom. So a mesh size of about 15cm (6 inches) would be ideal. But I can’t find anything. There’s always that annoying rabbit protection included. Has anyone else had the same issue?

No, I think fences are ridiculous.
Not only do we gradually take land away from nature, dividing it into rectangles and ruining the plants with fertilizers, but then we want to put up fences to act as barriers for animals.
So where are the wild animals supposed to go when you cage off “your” property? I find that absolutely selfish.
This is the absurdity of some people: they want to be far away in nature so urban life doesn’t catch up with them... and then they fence off nature.
The animal is not the problem, you are.
Best regards, Yvonne

Now I’m looking for something the cat can still get underAs a hunter, I can tell you that domestic cats cause significant damage to local wildlife. At night, more British Shorthairs and Persians roam the fields than foxes and badgers. No ground-nesting birds are safe from house cats, and fawns are just as much on the menu as young hares. But if Minka gets more than 300 meters (about 330 yards) away from the nearest house, things get serious...
Deer protection belongs around the young tree, not around the entire property.
