Hello,

I think I just broke my bathroom radiator... or at least I suspect so. The thermostat control knob (is that the right term?) has snapped off, leaving the radiator stuck on its lowest setting (even in nice weather) and now it can’t be turned off. I imagine replacement knobs are available, but our radiators are a bit older. The knob has "Heimeier" written on it—does that mean I should look for parts from that company as well?

I assume that only the rotary knob is broken and not the valve on the radiator? Although, if the valve were broken, you would have definitely noticed that! 😉 Usually, the remaining part of the thermostat knob can be completely removed by loosening a small screw, and then you should just need to put on a new one. I’m speaking from experience here—our daughter’s acrobatics have already broken several of these knobs at our place. 🙄
