Our architect has now informed us that the basement needs to be specially waterproofed because of this. This would mean additional costs of 10,000 euros. Is that realistic? I could almost build a new basement for that...
Have you ever dealt with a similar issue of groundwater? How did you waterproof your basements? If I understand correctly, a waterproof tank-like structure around the entire basement is required?!
