Hello,

Does anyone know about this or has experienced it before?

We have some screw heads that are raised, protruding from the drywall surface.

Does anyone know what causes this?

Regards
Simon

It looks different to me... The panels were not screwed tightly onto the underlying profiles (whether wood or metal), but in some places there was a small gap between the panel and the profile. (Profile warped, or panel) However, the screw itself is firmly seated in the profile. So if someone pushes against the panel, stumbles into it, leans on it, etc., the panel shifts fully into place. The screw, on the other hand, stays where it is and pushes the filler and paint upwards, causing the "damage" perfectly...

Sounds plausible. Although this only happens on the sloped ceiling, so there isn’t much pressure or tripping involved. But probably it’s just due to general settling overall.

The construction company says the painter is to blame.
