Hello,

I have the following plot of land:

Site plan of a building plot with parcels, dimension lines, street boundary.

Can you give me an approximate idea of the costs if I want to level it starting from the elevation of about 207.8m (682 feet)?
Thank you for your help.

If you need any additional information to assess this, please just ask.

Regards,
MR

Roughly estimated, it is about 670m3 (880 cubic yards) of soil/rocks or whatever needs to be removed. If it is “good” soil, you would have to budget around 15,000–20,000 euros just for disposal. On top of that comes all the labor.

You should ask a trusted civil engineer or earthworks contractor; it depends on neighboring properties, the zoning plan, the house, and other factors.

Would it be possible to cut down the higher areas by 0.75 m (2.5 ft) and use that to fill the lower side so that the levels even out?

Theoretically, yes. Keep in mind that adding fill usually also requires retaining. Using L-shaped retaining walls on both sides of the street will likely cost a five-figure amount.

There are too many variables; you need to check on-site. Anything between 20,000 and 100,000 is possible.

Depending on the house location, driveway, neighbors, boundary wall, etc., it might be possible to create a simple slope instead of using retaining walls.

Also, consider in advance where privacy screens are needed, as they cannot be built indefinitely high.
