Well, the kitchen is probably quite old – from a time when the wood-burning stove was prioritized over a kitchen that wasn’t intended for perfect dinners or (TV) shows.
This week has definitely been a mix of different experiences 🙂

The girl lives in a typical multi-generational house from the 1960s… the father’s hunting trophies are displayed all the way to the cook’s apartment, who has nothing to do with hunting: very practical overall. Even my husband’s “bourgeois” side was worth mentioning 😉
Yesterday, a house renovation into a three-family dwelling: the cook’s ground floor has been turned into an uninviting hall, which made the otherwise nice kitchen feel somewhat lost.
And today: a mirror used as a tile backsplash in the kitchen makes the electric appliances’ group look a bit like one of those busy “hidden object” pictures. Cooking happens covered in foil 🙁
What I liked: biking to my father-in-law’s and picking herbs in the terraced house garden there. Here, even the dogs get driven around by car to go for a walk. But that’s another story. I would have liked to explore a 1950s terraced house and memorize the floor plan 😉
In this apartment, it’s clear that practical cooking is usually more efficient than a show kitchen, but a practical design can sometimes feel uncomfortable.

I can’t believe it. After about 11 years, I actually turned on Vox again for the first time. And the forum is to blame.
Nowadays, there’s nothing to learn from it. I’m glad to have gotten rid of my cluttered small kitchen and now have endless space. Everything looks too similar to how it used to be in my place.
