Hello
After one year, an anthracite floor tile has developed a white spot in the middle. It looks as if it has been "worn out."
Is it normal for large floor tiles to show wear? It cannot be dirt, as it doesn’t come off with common cleaning methods.

And yes: we still have this issue... but showering without glasses and contact lenses is already quite a challenge. We have less trouble with the tiled channel itself and more with the plastic brackets that are supposed to hold this channel. We have six of them in total; half stay attached to the channel, the others end up floating in the drain... And then try to fix that nicely – of course, while showering 😡Hmm – I haven't experienced such problems. I think my wife would have complained about it by now. The first time she mentioned that the drain was quite dirty – but that was simply because after all the work, the initial cleaning before handover was done through the drain.
However, we have also NEVER cleaned the shower or the drain while showering.
I’ll take a look at the bracket tonight.

I also asked my wife about cleaning. She said she removes the channel every two weeks, but there aren’t a huge amount of hairs inside. We have more problems with sand and dirt in the drain—from the kids and gardening 😉

P.S. Normally my husband takes care of it 🙄 I only do it if it suddenly gets clogged while showering... 😀

We have exactly the same drain channel. We don’t have a strainer in it either. You just have to pull the hair out of the trap every now and then, which isn’t a pleasant task but is manageable with gloves. It’s better than having a strainer that needs to be emptied every three days.
@HilfeHilfe
That stuff removes almost everything. Unfortunately, it also affects (cement-based) grout, so handle it carefully.
