ᐅ The door lock is installed deep within the door. Is this normal?

Hello everyone,
Today our front door was installed.
I noticed that the lock cylinder is set quite far INSIDE the door.
Is this correct? Or did the door installer fit a lock that is too short?

Could it be that the safety rosette is missing?

Yes, ask your supplier if they might have made a measurement error with the cylinder.

It could be either... either too short a cylinder or missing drill protection.

There is definitely something wrong. You can actually look inside from below.... Maybe it was installed upside down? What does it look like on the inside?
