itsmemario4 Jun 2015 20:43Today, a very long cable was delivered by mail to the shell construction.
The site manager did not know what type of cable it was.
When the electrician arrived later, he said that this cable should have already been installed, specifically embedded in the concrete ceiling. However, the ceiling is already finished. Since the cable was missing, no one thought about installing it.
Now, they have to open up everything again in order to lay the cable. But we were told not to worry about this. They will take care of it.
I find it a bit unsettling that the “finished ceiling” now has to be “damaged” again.
Is this considered an acceptable defect?

No more chipping will be done there, and that’s not a problem.

You can probably lay the cable along the floor, but which cable are you referring to? Our entire electrical system—except for ceiling lights and spotlights—is routed under the floor (below the underfloor heating and screed). The floors are connected via an installation shaft.
It was installed in our case just like with milkie. Core drillings were made through the ceiling for the ceiling lights on the ground floor. 🙂
