Hello everyone.

The bad luck with our house project just doesn’t stop.
Today, after 3 months, we finally received the notice for a hearing from the building authority.
The house exceeds the rear building line by nearly 2 meters (6.5 feet).
Unfortunately, the woman at the office won’t be back until Thursday.
What options do we have now?
Is it possible to simply move the house forward, or does everything need to be reapplied for?
We are getting married on Thursday, and this really hits us hard.

Best regards

Yesterday, I received an email from the planner stating that all the documents have been sent to the building authority.
Is it normal for this to take more than two weeks? I don’t think so. Maybe my expectations are wrong?

Making mistakes and then taking 2 weeks to address them – that's the best.

By the way, the construction company has already terminated the contract due to the increasing number of complaints. When I vented my frustration at them, they only asked if I felt any better after I directed my anger toward the building authority through them. Crazy, right? I have no words.

Can a construction company just terminate the contract like that? ops:

Only the designer was terminated, if I understood correctly.

You’re probably imagining a planner who can fully focus on your project. In reality, even a planner can’t avoid situations like their childcare provider canceling due to COVID, leaving them stuck with their kids while working from home. Even if that’s not your fault...

... it’s still unfortunate when a construction company passes their customers’ frustration along to the draftsman. Capitalism shows less generosity of spirit than even toilet paper :-(
