Hello house building forum,
Last week I started renovating my first apartment. The apartment was built in 2014. Unfortunately, the building has settled, and many baseboards have been damaged as a result. Either the silicone joints have cracked, or large gaps have formed between the baseboard and the wall.
I have already started scraping off the old silicone. However, I’m not sure how to proceed with the gaps between the baseboard and the wall. All the baseboards (except for one small one) are still firmly attached to the wall and cannot be moved with moderate force.
Thank you very much for your advice!
Nils

- Do I need to remove the old adhesive/mortar?
- Is it sufficient to fill the gaps with construction adhesive or interior filler?
- Or do I perhaps need to remove and reinstall all the tiles?
Thank you very much for your advice!
