Hello everyone,
We will be moving into our newly built terraced house this fall/winter. The kitchen is open-plan but somewhat small—we are trying to make the most of the space. We have consulted with 2-3 kitchen planners. With one planner, we went into detail and after several appointments found a solution that we really like. Now, I would appreciate an external opinion on whether the kitchen is overpriced or reasonably priced. It would also be helpful to get feedback on the appliances. I am grateful for any assistance.
The construction site is near Neumarkt in the Oberpfalz region.
The kitchen is L-shaped including a kitchen island. The island is used solely as a work surface, with the appliances installed along the wall.
The kitchen planner is a new company, which originated from PlanA.

I am always a bit speechless that some people can judge the value of a kitchen with so little information, or rather, most don’t really understand it. What actually costs money are the drawers, the fronts (which price group?), installation costs (who is doing the installation?), and so on.
The kitchen planner is OBI, Impura Classic is Häcker but only with a 72 cm (28 inch) high cabinet carcass (or was the new, higher one planned?), so it's more suitable for shorter people—assuming you don’t want the kitchen to stand on stilts. Installation is more important than anything else. In this case, it will probably be subcontracted, and the installers are usually poorly paid.
In the pictures, I only see two drawers each. The drawers are the Grass Nova Pro C type as Häcker uses. Concrete plaster look front? So that means fake plaster in melamine? It looks rather cheap and actually somewhat out of style for a while now. With the black countertop on top, it looks rather “sad.”
Grip profile?
The countertop is an Indian gabbro, so it’s also not among the most expensive.
Between the sink and the cooktop—the main workspace—there is very little room. What is the rest of the kitchen for then? Where do you store your supplies? No refrigerator included in the price, so where will it be placed?
I never understand why people always try to get the kitchen as cheap as possible but want the most expensive phone.

Oh oh, I just noticed that the cooktop was installed centered over two 800mm (31.5 inches) wide cabinets. I would never do that—the cabinets are way too wide, the sides under the cooktop have been cut down, and the heavy stone countertop with cooktop only has support on the outer edges over 1.6m (5 feet 3 inches).
Also, the Comet is PG1, which means melamine.
The kitchen was obviously put together very quickly, just for show. That’s how kitchens are often sold easily.

The price seems fair, but why is the sink placed directly next to the tall cabinet and right next to the cooktop???? This is a kitchenette layout and ergonomically poor for working. What is considered best practice here? In our new house, the utility connections are arranged similarly, but the sink and cooktop are swapped. We are still in the final planning stage, so we can still consider whether to relocate the connections before the kitchen installation.
In our current apartment, it’s set up like this too, and it doesn’t really bother us.

In our current apartment, it’s the same way, and it doesn’t really bother us.There should be countertop space both to the left and right of the sink, stove, and oven. Ideally, at least 60cm (24 inches). I would place the sink under the window. And @Elinoz, a kitchen costing less than 25,000 euros can be both attractive and functional. (While aesthetics can be subjective, a kitchen is not functional if you cook regularly and don’t just need a place to put takeout containers.) Even if some specialized forums might have a different opinion 🙂
