Hello, we are planning a terrace with Plenera decking boards. Has anyone had any experience with these boards? They were highly recommended to us at the home improvement store. Matthias

We prefer the appearance better.
There is a slope from the house to the green roof.

Interesting. It looks very good. Is it oiled or treated in some way?

Thank you.
We deliberately left the wood untreated; it will weather to a gray tone over time.
However, the wood has only been in place for two weeks [emoji6].

The railing is still missing, so it hasn’t been used yet.

We are also using Siberian larch, which was significantly cheaper and will simply be completely replaced after X years. I prefer to buy it multiple times. Every type of wood eventually wears out, even tropical hardwoods...

Our wood is only treated with a clear wood oil (no color pigments) because we also want it to weather to a gray tone. However, we want to avoid getting splinters in our feet and prevent the wood from weathering too quickly.

Do you already know what your railing will look like? We still need one as well but haven’t decided yet. We don’t want it to look too bulky or overpower the space (we have about 30sqm 6m*5m (65 sq ft 20ft*16ft)). But I also don’t want metal bars that look like prison bars.

Edit:
Ours is grooved; we initially wanted it smooth too but decided against it because it might become slippery quickly when wet.

No, we do not yet know exactly what the railing will look like in the end, but it will be made of metal. The final design still needs to be planned by us.

Durable and attractive, nothing compares to Accoya. We have used it and are very impressed. Prices are around 300 EUR per square meter (approximately 28 USD per square foot).
