Hello!
We would like a fixed terrace roof to protect part of the terrace from wind and weather.
We are not keen on glass and also want to avoid plastering.
However, with our current design, we are wondering if the room behind might become too dark, since the roof would have a depth of 3m (10 feet). Additionally, there is the corridor between the window and the kitchen measuring about 150cm (5 feet).
Floor plan. The proposed roof is indicated by the terrace table and the column. All windows are floor-to-ceiling (except for the living room behind the sofa).
Here is a visualization using SketchUp. Shadows at 2:30 PM on February 1st. The buildings visible in the aerial view have been demolished.

February 1st, 2:30 PM: In winter, the sun is roughly southwest, which means it is quite low on the horizon. In summer, your house will likely be shaded from the sun from around 11 AM until evening. The porch blocks the evening sun anyway. For me, that would mean too little sunlight inside the house, but of course, that’s also a matter of personal preference.
