Hello forum readers/participants,
We are currently about to begin excavation for our planned single-family house in the Heilbronn district, so it is time to further detail our rough exterior planning and finally coordinate our ideas with potential partners.
In this process, we are looking for a suitable partner for a fixed terrace roof. Through online research, apart from major providers (such as KD roofing systems) and some regional suppliers, we came across Schmidt roofing systems. This is a franchise company with branches in Ulm, Tübingen, and Heilbronn.
I visited the Heilbronn branch last summer and, based on the exhibited samples (concept, materials, quality, sizing, additional features, etc.), was convinced by the excellent product and material concept. I requested a premium offer for our intended roofing design from the branch manager.
Based on this, my question is: Does anyone in the forum have experience with Schmidt roofing systems regarding planning, implementation, service, the product itself, and durability?
I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences with me.

Benutzer 10018 Jul 2023 06:37Is a depth of 3.5 m (11.5 ft) sufficient? I personally find even 4.5 m (14.8 ft) to be challenging when it comes to sunlight.

WilderSueden8 Jul 2023 12:57That will probably be enough for the terrace. However, due to the west-facing orientation, the sun appears right around quitting time, so I still need to look into a vertical awning. Around midday everything is fine, but in the evening even 5m (16 feet) would probably be too little.
