Hello,
does anyone possibly have patio doors that open outwards? Where does your preference for outward-opening patio doors come from?
Best regards, Bauexperte
I will have a double-leaf door from the kitchen to the terrace.
One of the doors is positioned in front of my cooktop when opened. That’s why I thought it might be nicer if it opened outwards.
The kitchen island will be placed in front of the other door (with a distance of about 60cm (24 inches)). That’s not a problem, since it’s perfectly fine for me to open just one door.
We will also have a controlled mechanical ventilation system.
Maybe the doors won’t be open very often anyway...

In addition, the hinges usually look quite bulky, and of course, the cost is higher as well.
We also considered this briefly at one point but quickly dismissed it again.

That’s exactly what planning time is for, so things like this don’t happen.
Whether with or without a mechanical ventilation system, you still want to be able to step outside and grab some herbs…
By the way, your windows are already ordered.
