As my headline already suggests, the telescopic legs I bought today and immediately attached to the LINMON tabletop are rattling terribly—all four of them with the slightest touch to the table. One leg is especially loud, but they all rattle. It sounds like an elastic rod inside is hitting the tube. Since I want to use the table as a workstation for my computer, this is unacceptable—I’d be annoyed after just five minutes.
I can rule out an assembly error; I’m still able to tighten five screws properly without mistakes. After adjusting the length to 70cm (28 inches), I also made sure to tighten the telescopes correctly.
By the way, here is a possibly interesting oddity: judging by their appearance, my telescopic legs can only be the VIKA KAJ from Ikea’s online shop, but according to the included assembly instructions and the receipt, they are called OLOV. The online shop, however, claims not to know OLOV.
Can anyone tell me how to stop this rattling?
Best regards – Hornissentreiber

in cases like this, the only solution is to identify the cause and find an appropriate solution. Or return it.
