Hello everyone!
In the next few weeks, our FTTH connection will be activated by the telecom provider.
I received a fiber optic router from an acquaintance. It is not from the telecom provider!!
Unfortunately, I can’t find any option in the configuration to enter login credentials...
With FTTH technology, does the router automatically authenticate itself?
Or will the router not work with the telecom provider’s connection?
The router is a Genexis Platinum-7840 fiber optic router.

So, if it works as described by @dhd82, it runs over PPPoE. Then you can connect any router behind it.
If you don't want to pay rent, I would get an affordable and reliable router and that's it.
If you have a server or Raspberry Pi running, that could also be used for this purpose.

If you want to use the Fritz!Box as a modem, it supports a maximum of 300 Mbps. Without knowing your future connection, FTTH can provide significantly higher speeds.
If it is really FTTH and not FTTB, you cannot avoid using a purely suitable modem. In that case, go with the Telekom device.
Behind that, you can use any router of your choice.

If it is really FTTH and not FTTB, you will need a dedicated compatible modem. In that case, use the Telekom device.
You can then connect any router of your choice behind it. The 300 Mbps is the limit of the VDSL modem in the 7530. Behind the fiber optic modem, the 7530 can do more.
