Hello everyone,
Today the plasterer came for an inspection.
He looked at the roller shutter boxes and said that they are 1-2cm (about 0.5-0.8 inches) short to be flush with the masonry, and that the window installer should have taken care of this.
This now needs to be corrected.
He called a site manager who confirmed this.
I then called the window installer and informed him about it.
He said: someone has to pay for it, no matter who has to do the work.
I replied: I don’t agree if it’s your responsibility.
He said: we will find a solution, I will consult another site manager to see how this is legally handled.
He is currently still on vacation; the call had to be quick. He said he would get back to me in a few days.
Is this really the case? (The window quote does not mention anything about this.)

LOL! I already dealt with this topic today! When it comes to costs, these are so-called unavoidable costs, meaning expenses that would have occurred regardless. If a service is not specified anywhere, someone has to perform it additionally. I think the window installer is better suited for this. However, they definitely could or should have pointed out that their frame was too small.

The plasterer said today: I only do plastering!
In hindsight, it sounded totally amusing.
The window manufacturer will certainly find a better solution to the problem.
