trollkind686 Sep 2012 13:12Hello everyone,
I want to replace my old sideboard with Faktum base cabinets with chrome legs. So far, the freestanding under-counter refrigerator has been placed on this sideboard, and I would like to keep it that way for space reasons. My question is – can the cabinets support that? The refrigerator is only 1.5 years old, so I would prefer not to replace it with a built-in model.

Maverick18546 Sep 2012 20:19How much does the refrigerator weigh, and what load will be placed on the base cabinets?
This should not be a problem with a countertop.

trollkind686 Sep 2012 20:42The empty refrigerator weighs 38 kg (84 lbs) – I estimate that when fully loaded, it will add another 15 kg (33 lbs). I also want to install a continuous worktop.

It is definitely important to secure the cabinets to the wall! But I assume you were planning to do that anyway...
