Coletrickle_780820 Jun 2023 19:47Hello,
We built in a new housing development.
There are about 30 houses here, with maybe 4 to 6 featuring a white fascia board, while the rest have anthracite-colored ones.
On all the houses with white fascia boards, the swallows try to build nests on the facade, just below the fascia.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s a gable roof or a modern villa style. The neighbor has it very bad—they now have seven spots around 40cm (16 inches) in diameter. I (with a modern villa) also noticed three places about the size of a walnut today.
The swallows do not nest on any wooden beams or similar on the gable roofs; it’s always directly on the plaster.
Does anyone here perhaps have an explanation or advice?
