Hello everyone,

Until now, I have only been a silent reader, but things are getting serious.

So, my first question is how you would assess the following offer for surveying services.

Item 1: Site and elevation plan
Item 2: Site plan for the building permit / planning permission
Item 3: Setting out / staking out
Item 4: Building survey after completion

Total price: €1,700 gross

We are building an urban villa with an attached garage/office extension – approximately 200 m² (2,150 sq ft) of living and usable space, near Dresden.

Thanks and best regards,
Martin

Are there no wooden posts used instead of stone? We used those, but they have since been replaced with stone.

I’m going there today to take some photos. I only remember the wooden stakes by the utility lines.

Yes, wooden posts should be installed there. Boundary markers are usually placed later upon request. There are also cases where boundary markers are omitted.

Then the staking out cannot just be done by any site supervisor. A surveying company receives the coordinates of the boundary points and does not need them on site.
The office draws your floor plan (outer perimeter) on the computer, calculates the coordinates, and sets out the batter boards outside.
No one is crazy enough to measure on a wooden stake like that, and I’m sure they didn’t do that at your place either @Nordlys

I also find this somehow quite a lot, don’t you?
Document shows a list of surveying services (1–8) and the contract amount.

Scan of a page titled Surveying and Registration, running text.

However, I still need a rough site layout (which the municipality is actually supposed to do right after development). See screenshot.

That was not the original plan, though.
