ᐅ Surface-mounted motion sensor for outdoor use?

Hello,

I originally thought this would be a five-minute task.

The objective:
Find a motion sensor from Gira or Busch-Jäger (because of quality; other manufacturers with comparable quality are also welcome) that can be surface-mounted outdoors to activate a lamp.

The problem:
With both Gira and Busch-Jäger, I only find flush-mounted sensors, or the surface-mounted ones all have a large dome and look like a high-tech surveillance camera.
Both options are things I do not want.
I was expecting a small, square box and that would be it.

Am I missing something, or do I have to accept one of these two options, or are there other very good manufacturers who offer something suitable for me?

Thank you very much.

In my opinion, Steinel definitely competes in the same league.

For Steinel, Merten, and Gira, I found comments saying that the products don’t last long and fail at low temperatures. This is mentioned quite often for Steinel, and least for Gira, but overall there are only a few comments for Gira.

However, I think a 70° (70-degree) illumination angle from Gira is far too narrow since I want to light up a wide driveway. The maximum 5m (16.4 ft) range of Steinel is almost perfect for this purpose. Therefore, I’m leaning toward Steinel and hope to get a good unit.

Thanks for your advice.
