I am very interested in the possibility of installing solar collectors on the roof. I have also heard that this is supported by various subsidy programs. Does anyone here have a solar system on their roof? I would like to benefit from your experiences.
Looking forward to your contributions.

Hello Jack,

My mother-in-law installed solar panels on the roof for her pool. I can only say that she is very satisfied with the solar system. Regarding subsidies, you would need to check with your local authorities.

Solar collectors are subsidized, already throughout the EU by the energy performance certificate for buildings...
Your solar collectors also permanently increase the value of the house through this certificate...

In any case, I would recommend using higher-quality solar collectors because they last longer, etc.
However, you need to position the solar collectors correctly, as the amount of sunlight hours should be maximized. With some types of solar collectors, the entire surface becomes ineffective if even a small part is shaded, so this must definitely be taken into account.

Don’t forget the transformer either, but it is usually included anyway...

Hello dernagler,

My mother-in-law installed the solar collectors so that they receive sunlight almost all day. Of course, the solar panels should be positioned to maximize their efficiency.

Hello everyone,
it's great that the internet exists. Thanks for your contributions. There’s nothing like practical experience. No salesperson can provide that. In the next few days, I will thoroughly research the available funding options for my project and then get started. Thanks!
