So far, everything has gone quite well since we have skilled tradespeople and always make sure to gather information carefully. Our basement (fully waterproofed) is planned to be partly used as a hobby room and will therefore have underfloor heating.
The energy consultant recommends a 10-centimeter (4 inches) thick insulation layer for the base slab, on top of which the underfloor heating and screed will be installed.
We want to install the insulation beneath the screed ourselves. The plan includes edge insulation strips and protective foil tabs. Our screed specialist wants us to install an additional moisture barrier film beneath the insulation.
We were thinking of using "Katja," a product designed for cold adhesion. What do you think about it? Is it suitable for this purpose?
