ᐅ Suitable Carpet for the Hallway?

I am looking for a suitable rug for our hallway. It should, of course, be durable. We also walk through the hallway wearing shoes, so the rug needs to be hard-wearing.

Does anyone have any suggestions, and what should definitely be considered?

Thank you in advance.

I am also convinced by this sisal carpet. I bought ours last autumn at Hornbach. It is made of 100% sisal. There are carpets that contain only a small percentage of sisal, but for me, it was important that it is made entirely of sisal.

We have a carpet made of virgin wool in the hallway. It is important that the fibers are relatively short; otherwise, dirt and debris become embedded. This carpet is slip-resistant and durable, which is very important for us since we walk into the hallway with our shoes on. However, even after two winters, this carpet is worn out, and then we replace it with a new one.

We have a coconut fiber runner in the hallway. It is affordable and durable. This is especially important during the winter months. In summer, it is rolled up and stored in the basement. It is used again in late autumn.
