Hello everyone,
I bought a submersible pump (model 30136). When I switch it on, a residual current device (RCD) always trips. I contacted the manufacturer and received a replacement. The new one has the same issue.
I thought the problem might be with my power supply or wiring. I checked everything again and found no faults.
Then I got another pump (from a different manufacturer) with almost the same power (900W instead of 950W). This one works perfectly.

Could this be a series defect with the pump (manufacturer)?
Does anyone have any advice for me?
THANK YOU all.

You’ve already given yourself that advice. Try other manufacturers.

I just wonder why a submersible pump is protected with a residual current device (RCD).

Well, the outdoor outlet will already be connected through an RCD anyway...

RCD installed and the pump’s inrush current too high? Try plugging one or two extension reels between the outlet and the pump and test again.
I can’t imagine a manufacturing defect. It has consistently good reviews.
