Hello everyone, we are considering having textured wallpaper installed in our new build. The walls will be finished to Q2 standard. It's often said that woodchip wallpaper can be applied to Q2 surfaces. As a layperson, I would assume that textured wallpaper would have a similar effect. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Woodchip wallpapers are textured wallpapers.
Q2 defects become almost invisible due to the texture. That is the point.

Ok, thank you very much. We don’t want the typical woodchip pattern but rather a different design like stone effect, plaster texture, or stripes. There is a large selection available. If that achieves the same effect, that would of course be great.

Anything with structure, whether fleece or paper, should be used for lamination. Usually, the dents aren’t really a problem. Most people leave the surface at level Q2 and simply paint over it.
