Is it possible to give or state a flat rate for structural engineer costs? Based on what factors could the structural engineering fees be calculated? Who has experience with this?

Looking forward to your answers!

There are corresponding calculators available online... just fill out the HOAI calculator correctly and you're done.

We handed everything over to an architect, including planning, the building permit application / planning permission, obtaining quotes or conducting tenders, full construction supervision, and so on. This costs about 10% of the total construction budget, including additional expenses. So approximately 30,000-40,000 euros.

All-inclusive package at approximately 10-12% of the construction cost. Calculators for this are available online.

There is always some margin for discretion in the tables. It is best to ensure you get a good fixed-price offer.

I have a question that I haven’t been able to find an answer to so far. Here, both the architect and the structural engineer are mentioned. Let’s assume the all-inclusive package. Are the costs for the structural engineer already included in the HOAI calculation based on fee zones, fee rates, and billable costs, or is this calculation strictly for the architect, with the structural engineer’s fees added separately?

Structural engineer on top. Review structural engineer as well. For us, about a 2% flat rate in that range.

Architects often work with an in-house structural engineer who handles the complete package, including structural calculations, energy savings regulations, building permits/planning permission, etc. This is often more cost-effective than other options.
