Hello everyone,
despite extensive research, I haven’t been able to fully understand how responsibilities are divided regarding energy requirements/energy performance certificates for a new build.
I hope you can help me.

We are planning to build a detached house and need to comply with the KfW55 standard.
The structural engineer and the certified energy efficiency expert authorized to submit the KfW application are two different people in our case. The question is:
Can the structural engineer carry out all the necessary calculations to meet the KfW55 standard so that the energy efficiency expert only needs to review everything, submit the application, monitor the construction implementation, and finally confirm it?
Or is the structural engineer not allowed to do this, meaning that I also need the energy efficiency expert to perform the planning services to ensure compliance with the KfW55 standard, in addition to the tasks described above?

Thank you very much for your support.

I expect an architect to thoroughly inform their clients; even more so than a salesperson.

Transparency, transparency, and trust.

We chose the team of our architect. However, we received separate quotes from all three and commissioned them individually.
