A practical question. We are planning to build a house. Since it will still take some time until it’s ready, I am using this time to gather information about various options and then develop a coherent overall concept. I find the monolithic construction method very appealing and have therefore looked more closely at the Poroton P T7 brick, without considering the purchase price for now.
My question is: if you build with Poroton and want to fix something to the wall, how stable is it, given that the hollow spaces behind are filled with perlite? Are expensive special anchors necessary? Does the perlite fall out of the hole like in an hourglass? Is the perlite loosely placed in the cavities, or is it a solid mass? Who can tell me more about Poroton?
What do you think about the private building owners’ association?
Thank you in advance.
