Hi,

we are currently planning our house construction! Our plot is located on a slope. The driveway to the house is approximately 12.5 meters (41 feet) long, with a height difference of about 1.9 meters (6 feet 3 inches), which means the incline would be around 15.2 degrees.

Is this easily drivable?

We would appreciate any feedback.

Hello,
that depends entirely on your car. Firstly, the climbing ability is important. In addition, the overhang is a crucial factor. How the slope begins—whether immediately or gradually—also matters. If your car isn’t lowered, it should be fine. You should always use the handbrake, and in winter, keep in mind that it might freeze and get stuck!

We have been living here for over 2 years now, and the driveway works perfectly. Even my car (which is quite low) can enter the garage without any problems...

Many thanks again...

Hello, the driveway works without any problems. In winter, you need to be a bit careful, but there are many ways to keep the driveway free of ice.
I wish you good luck.
