ᐅ Exposed steel beam in the corner

Hello,

in our new build, we have a corner window with a steel beam.
From the end plate measuring 20cm x 20cm (8 inches x 8 inches), a small piece about 5cm x 5cm (2 inches x 2 inches) extends into the living room.

Until yesterday, I assumed it could be cut off by flame cutting.
However, the metalworker now says that due to the heat, the roller shutter box would also be damaged.

Unfortunately, an angle grinder cannot reach into the corner. I also don’t want to lower the ceiling or something like that.

The end plate of the steel beam is about 2cm (1 inch) thick.

Does anyone have an idea how this corner could be made flush?

Won’t the ceiling be plastered anymore? Otherwise, just paint it white and it won’t be noticeable.

The ceiling will be plastered and then wallpapered with painter’s fleece.
I would like it to be even because otherwise I always get annoyed when I see it.

Hang a pot with a hanging plant there. Or a spotlight, or a curtain rod with a curtain.

Use proper flexible tubing and then remove it. Before that, tape off all the glass panes because sparks can damage the glass.

Are there also metal cutting blades available for the "multitool"? That way, you could work directly in the corner.
