Hello,

The structural engineer specified that in the area of the wooden beam ceiling on the upper floor, three additional support beams must be installed alongside the ceiling joists.
I am currently unsure about the level at which these support beams should be installed.
My initial thought was that the wooden beams would be placed directly on the ring beam of the top row of masonry. But where exactly do the support beams fit in? And how should the beams OG3 and OG4 be connected?

Can someone clarify this for me?

There are different options. Ideally, you should have a cross-section showing the bearing surface.

Connections can be made using common woodworking joints or with mechanical fasteners.

Unfortunately, there is no detailed drawing.
However, it concerns metal beams or alternatively reinforced concrete.
I am still unclear about which plane they are supposed to be located in.
