Hello everyone,

We have the submitted plan from the architect as well as the chase plan from the heating engineer.

Now we are facing the question of whether we should have the structural and reinforcement design

- carried out by an independent structural engineer? We have received a quote of 2,400 euros including VAT for both designs.

- included in the scope of services for the tender and have the construction companies carry out these designs?

We are aware that construction companies will also charge for the structural and reinforcement design and factor these costs in. But perhaps someone has experience regarding which option is more cost-effective?

Thanks and best regards

... just noticed that we posted in the wrong thread. Could someone please move this post to the Architects/Structural Engineering thread?

Thank you very much
