Is it true that there are no soundproofing standards or regulations to consider when building a single-family house?
If not, how should a corresponding clause on soundproofing be formulated in a construction and scope of work description?
Thanks and best regards

Hello,
When building a new single-family house, sound insulation is regulated by the specifications in the contract. If no specific sound insulation requirements are stated, the general technical standards apply. For a defined standard, you should mention the DIN 4109 in your tender documents. If you want higher sound insulation levels, there are the VDI 100 sound insulation classes I-III.
