ᐅ Staircase Lighting – Which Options Would You Recommend?

Hello everyone,

I am currently marking all the electrical boxes and switches. Now I have reached the staircase and was wondering whether a standard 60mm (2.4 inches) electrical box for the lighting should be installed there or if something special is needed. I looked around online but didn’t find a clear answer. Either the lighting looks cheap or it is very expensive (over 100 euros per piece).

Do you have any recommendations for me? I am also open to some kind of downlight.

Thanks and best regards

Great, thanks. Can you tell me exactly which profiles you used? Unfortunately, I can’t send private messages here yet. Or is there another way to contact you?

I added that below the photo!

One last question:

Would it theoretically be possible to plaster over the top and bottom parts of the profile (which I can also select in different colors on LED Konzept’s website), or do they protrude too much? Unfortunately, I can’t tell clearly from the picture.
I am still working on the interior finishes and could potentially install the trim before plastering.

If you are still at the stage before plastering, use plasterable profiles. This way, you only have the opening left for the LED strip.

Search for LED recessed profiles.

Very nice LED strip!

Are there also 230V lights with motion sensor/light sensor for a flush-mounted box?

@KingSong

After a long time, I finally finished my stair lighting. I wanted to ask if your lighting is continuous and even, or if it is spot-lit, so that you can see each individual LED as a distinct point?

It usually depends on the depth of the strip. The closer the LED is to the glass pane (frosted glass), the more clearly you can see the individual LEDs as light points.
