Hello community,

The day before yesterday, the first course (cinder block) for our single-family house was built, and today the second course. I noticed that the first blocks are "thinner" than the following course. Why is that?

Best regards

Hello,

Do you mean the thickness of the bricks? It was the same for us. This is probably because the masons can align the smaller bricks of the first row more easily.

Or is the brick recessed, meaning the second brick protrudes outward? If that’s the case, ask your site manager!

By the way, a general tip for such questions: take your phone and call your site manager to ask as many questions as you need.

Best regards,

Michael
