Hello everyone,

During the electrical planning phase, it’s of course necessary to plan and position the outlets. I have already read through various forum posts and online resources and took some tips to heart. However, I’m sure there are still many suggestions to consider. I have attached the current plan for reference.

A few notes before any advice goes in a certain direction:

1. In the utility room, I have only planned for additional outlets. Power supply for the built-in appliances is not shown.

2. The single outlet in the kitchen is planned for under the ceiling, possibly for extra lighting or similar purposes.

3. Behind the sofa, marked “UP,” I initially planned only concealed wiring, so it’s hidden in the wall in case we want to rearrange the living room later and add electronics to that wall.

4. In the office, there will likely be an L-shaped desk, which is why the outlets are positioned accordingly.

5. In the master bedroom, there will be a wide washbasin, which is why there are two sets of double outlets.

Besides general improvement suggestions, I have the following questions:

1. Where should outlets be installed in the outdoor area?

2. Instead of single outlets, is it better to always install double outlets?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Best regards,
Christian
