Hello everyone,
after a month, I'm slowly getting tired of the lamp holders and would like to buy some lamps... easier said than done.
Specifically, I would like to focus on the kitchen and dining area:

2 outlets above the countertop
1 outlet in the middle of the kitchen area
1 outlet above the bar counter
1 outlet above the dining table

and the living room:

2 outlets in the room

My wife likes the Batista model from Eglo – we could get a 4-light fixture for the dining table, a 3-light for the bar counter, and three single lights for the rest (?) – does that make sense?
That would mean no ambient lighting or spotlights – just a lot of lamps 😀
Although there is also some ambient lighting from the wall cabinets and the range hood.

I’m unsure about the living room – my wife likes chandeliers… but two? I think only very delicate fixtures look good.

In our office, we have a lamp that lights the table from below and shines on the ceiling above (nickel bars suspended on two cables from the design) – are you familiar with something like this?

I also struggle with lamps: we have wall outlets on each side of the bed – maybe I’ll eventually find suitable reading lamps with an adjustable arm and a switch at the head that cost under 100 € (about 110 USD).

For me, bedside table or reading lamps are slowly becoming a pet peeve.
We had found one (actually two) lamps that we liked. After less than six months, the lampshade fell off, even though I don’t even know how I touched it. Of course, it broke. So we needed a replacement. The furniture store where we originally bought the lamp no longer had it available. Searching online: Porta still carries it. OK – the nearest Porta is at least 200 km (125 miles) away. BUT near my hometown, not far from where my parents live, there is one. So my parents got the lamp for us.
Four weeks ago, the same accident happened again. The lampshade broke again. Only this time, Porta no longer has this lamp either.

So far, we haven’t been able to agree on a new lamp. Too ugly, too expensive, or only one of us likes it.
So right now I’m reading with "bare" LEDs.
My wife suggested that when we eventually get new bedside lamps, I could take the two stubby LEDs to the attic and install them at my planned workbench so it is well illuminated.
Isn’t she a sweetheart :p.

Above the dining table, we temporarily have a lamp from Ikea hanging for 5.99. I think it will still be hanging there in 19 years.

As long as we like it, I wouldn’t care if it cost 5.99 euros. I would probably even be secretly happy to have gotten something affordable that we also like.

We have an LED panel in the kitchen, so if you want a lot of light, this lamp is the one.

Zwei übereinander liegende Polaroid-Fotos in Grau, schlicht.

By now, we have all the lights; the only one missing is in the living room, but that one needs to be something special.

In the bedroom, we even have the paper lamp from Ikea, which looks good and is very bright.

Could you please tell me what it is called? It looks very good.
