ᐅ Spare parts for older KALLAX models hard to find?

I recently tried to find replacement parts for my older Kallax shelving unit and discovered that it’s not that easy. Especially the connector pieces between the individual components and the original fastening screws seem to be hardly available anymore. Has anyone else had similar experiences? What options are there for finding replacement parts that are truly compatible and meet the original quality standards? Specifically, I am looking for parts for a model from the early 2010s, if that helps.

Exactly what sanjon says. Additionally, you can often find such parts inexpensively at flea markets or on platforms like eBay Classifieds.

The recommended tolerances in the range of +/- 0.1 mm are reasonable

I wouldn’t have expected it to need to be that precise. Thanks for this advice; it really helps with the planning!

Just ask directly in the store instead of only contacting customer service by phone.

I will definitely try that. Thanks to everyone for the great support here.

If anyone has recommendations for reliable service providers offering high-precision 3D printing, please share!

Regarding 3D printing: There are now many online platforms offering precise printing, sometimes even using technical plastics like PETG or ABS, which are well suited for furniture joints.

If you define the dimensions accurately, this can serve as a basis for production as an STL file. If you are unable to create your own 3D model, some service providers offer this for a small additional fee.

If you like, I can gladly provide links to such service providers.
