Hello everyone,

We are building a house on a slab foundation without a basement. According to the soil report, we need to excavate about 1.50 m (5 feet) of soil because there are depressions at that depth which negatively affect load-bearing capacity. The building footprint is approximately 100 sq m (1,076 sq ft). Can you advise if I can store the resulting excavation of 150 cubic meters (5,296 cubic feet) on my property, or will the pile be too large? The plot size is around 600 sq m (6,458 sq ft). The soil is intended to be used for backfilling and spreading across the property.

Thanks and best regards

We have 130 cubic meters of clay and 60 cubic meters of topsoil on our 630 m² (6,780 sq ft) property. That fits so far. ;-)

However, the clay will be removed soon.
